Eliza Jennings

Culture change.  Individual choices are valued and respected.  Deciding when to eat, take medication, or go to bed is up to each person.  This philosophy makes Eliza Jennings a model for other long term care providers.

Individual households.  At Eliza Jennings, households are established to create a sense of community.  Each household includes a fully stocked kitchen open to residents 24 hours a day.  Open living spaces with cozy furniture and televisions are popular relaxation spots for reading or taking a nap.  Nursing services are readily available within each household so clinical needs are supported with efficiency and ease.

Personal caregivers.  Permanently assigned caregivers within each household know each resident personally, which results in recognizing the most subtle changes in condition or personality and addressing them immediately.  Teams are composed of all areas of expertise, including, but not limited to administration, nursing, maintenance and dietary staff.

Life enrichment.  How people spend their time and enjoy their lives is crucial to overall happiness.  Activities and programs are crafted by residents and staff within each household and represent the celebration of life milestones as well as interests of those who live at Eliza Jennings.  Discussions about current events, music and art programs, exercise classes, field trips and a variety of religious programs are just some of the activities offered.
